Clear skies, Hekla, Southern Coastlands, Iceland

Iceland's climate seems to exude a certain hostile cynicism. It ebbs and flows as it pleases, numb to the remnant of humanity encrusted beneath. I expected three days of unceasing wind and rain; that's what the entire month of October had been up to that point. For whatever reasons, though, I was wickedly lucky and experienced three solid days of sapphire skies and piercingly clear sunlight; conditions which afforded a pristine view of Mt. Hekla, standing in the distance on the left.
